ARTIST STATEMENT
I am more interested in studying and understanding the deeper sense of things through drawing and painting. When I work on my landscapes, I try to explore how these landscapes influence our consciousness and how our consciousness affects the landscape at the same time. The relationship of the personal and existential, the interior and exterior — the within and without. They are worlds continually fluctuating coming into and out of focus. Instead of reproducing the environment that surrounds us I try to capture the atmosphere and combine it with experience to create one composition made out of different views linked together by relation of shape, color and narrative.
